Feed Those Who Feed Us is a California non-profit corporation established in 2002.  Our mission is to address the needs of those living at poverty level in mid-California, mostly among migrant and emigrant farm workers.

We at FTWFU have no desire to be involved politically in the immigration issues facing our nation.  We, however, are designed to meet the needs of the children of farm workers throughout the state.  We believe that we can help these children in solving some of their problems; such as going to bed hungry, going to school poorly dressed, or even some of their medical and dental needs.  We can give them an opportunity to become successful citizens in the future.

What we do. . .

California Southern Baptist have been given a wonderful opportunity for ministry.  The state government owns and operates 25 Migrant Centers.  The government maintains housing of one to three bedroom apartments for the Migrants to lodge during harvest seasons.  California Baptists have an open door to go into each of these centers and engage in evangelistic ministries.

What can be done. . .

· Conduct Vacation Bible Schools

· Engage in recreation ministries, sports camps, games, and activities

· Provide food boxes to migrant families

· Provide clothing and shoes to the children

· Provide children backpacks

· Conduct evangelistic rallies

· Engage in medical and dental ministries

To assure a seamless operation of these ministries, California Baptists have established a coordinating structure named “Feeding Those Who Feed Us” (FTWFU).

How can my church be involved. . .

· Church can adopt a Migrant Center.

· You can work with a local church in the area to minister in a Migrant Center.

· Churches can provide financial resources for one Migrant Center.  It is estimated that $3,500 will purchase food, clothes, shoes, medical supplies and ministry materials for one Center.

· You can send a team of volunteers to administer the distribution of food, clothing, and shoes while conducting VBS, sports camps, evangelistic rallies, and recreation events.

· Your church can enlist a medical team consisting of physicians, dentists, nurses, dental assistants to provide these skill ministries while the above evangelistic activities are taking place.  California Southern Baptists own a well equipped mobile medical/dental unit.  It is available for our use depending upon the date chosen.

May God bless you and your family.
